Research & Analysis: I conducted surveys and analyzed much of what it had to do with the new media phenomenon to understand the pain points and user needs. We also studied competitor apps and industry trends to gather insights.
1. Branding:
We began by conducting a thorough brand discovery session with Onset's team to understand their values, mission, and target audience. The resulting brand essence was defined as "Crafting Culture, Creating Content."
2. Visual Identity:
To capture the essence of creativity and innovation, we chose a color palette that included bold and vibrant colors like electric blue, Jet Black, and energetic yellow. These colors symbolized the dynamism of the media and merchandise production industry.
3. Logo Design:
We designed a versatile logo that consisted of an abstract letter "O" that resembled a film reel or a glitch pixel, symbolizing both media and merchandise production. This adaptive logo could be used across various platforms and contexts.
